About Us

As 4-H, high-school sweethearts, in 2010 we tied the knot and purchased our first property. In 2018 we bought our second property with a farmhouse built in 1900 with plans to remodel. In 2020, we installed a driveway, connecting both properties. In 2021, we felt led to offer RV camping and also purchased 3 pygmy goats from California and 1 from Ohio. In 2022, the Lord unexpectedly led us to purchase our third property. Also connected to our other properties, it features a remodeled farmhouse built in 1900, which we offer for overnight stays. Our combined 8 acres is peaceful and serene with birds and natural wildlife and very park like (hence the name, Parkside Farm). In the day you can watch clouds roll by, see amazing sunsets and star gaze at night. We are 15 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, GR International Airport, restaurants and shopping venues. We offer family friendly experiences including a barn theater, photography, goat and nature experiences and educational classes. Our prayer is for the Lord to use what He's given us to be a place of restoration and blessing for others.

Registered Pygmy Goats

Growing up in 4-H and on family farms, we were very familiar with animals and agriculture. After 11 years of marriage, we purchased a momma pygmy goat (Iris) and her twin babies (JJ) and (Isabelle, Belle for short) from California. They began there long journey by van transport and arrived to their new home with us in October 2021. In January 2021, we picked up our herd buckling, Zorro from Ohio with plans for kidding dates in September 2021 and January 2023. We cannot wait to welcome our first babies born at Parkside Farm.Parkside Farm is the only registered pygmy goat breeder in West Michigan with the National Pygmy Goat Association. As proud members of the NPGA, we desire to uphold the breed and ethical standards required of membership and look forward to educating family's about pygmy goat husbandry, health and care. We are registered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Michigan Office official Goat Scrapie ID program, Flock ID# MIK2048/Premise ID# 00QX7VA. We offer goat experiences throughout the summer. All goat experiences will be supervised by Parkside Farm and all participants are required to sign a waiver to participate.

Reviews & Recommendations

We were in site #1 which has a loose asphalt pad and was pretty flat. Between site #1 and #2, there is a community fire ring which has a large diameter that we used. And for a small additional fee, you can use their firewood, rather than bring your own. I have a 20 ft hybrid travel trailer and had no problems getting it backed into our spot, and I would agree it does have a nice "Park like feel". The hosts were very friendly and they have some cool unique options (like a movie theater) that you can rent too. Overall I would say that it was a great experience. - Michael O., RV Camper

Parkside Farm hosted our annual volunteer appreciation dinner in 2021 and we had a blast! We were able to utilize the bonfire area, play with the goats, bring in our own food and cook kabobs for our guests. The barn provided ample seating and we used the movie screen to share and watch organization updates with our guests. If you are in need of a spot to host your team or organization reach out to Parkside Farm. - Deb VanderBand, Executive Director of Equine Assisted Development

Pleasant. Very pretty land and nice big campfire pit. They were very nice and accommodating. Recommend. - Pashion O., RV Camper

I was relieved to find that Parkside Farm would host me three-year-old's birthday party. I was able to bring in my own food and piñata in their barn theater room. It was the perfect place to escape the January weather. They provided popcorn and a movie, we got to see the goats, too! The kids had a blast. - Lisa, Busy Mom of 3

I have never met couple of strangers that were more welcoming and understanding than these owners!!! Due to traffic delays we were unable to arrive until nearly midnight and not only were they out at our campsite to greet us but they were more than willing to assist us with setting up our camper and providing us with information about the campsite. When my girlfriend needed to use their home Internet to complete a college assignment they were more than understanding and willing to allow her to even though it was clearly not some thing offered normally. Due to a family issue we had to cut our stay short two days and due to rain we were unable to use the firewood that we had purchased through them. I was planning to consider the money spent a loss but these owners not only checked to see if I would like a refund but promptly refunded me the two night stay, two days worth of electricity and the four days worth I’ll firewood that I had purchased. These people were amazing and I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for lodging in the area. - Blake K., RV Camper

This Cookie Policy explains how __________ ("Company", "we", "us", and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our websites at https://parksidefarmmi.crd.co, ("Websites"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, __________) are called "first party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third party cookies". Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

Why do we use cookies?

We use first and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties serve cookies through our Websites for advertising, analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

The specific types of first and third party cookies served through our Websites and the purposes they perform are described below (please note that the specific cookies served may vary depending on the specific Online Properties you visit):

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.

The Cookie Consent Manager can be found in the notification banner and on our website. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our website though your access to some functionality and areas of our website may be restricted. You may also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Websites or opened an e-mail including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
